Mr. Thome was born in Wisconsin in 1862 and his parents moved to Stacyville in 1874. He married Sarah Steiger in 1889 and 12 children were born to them. His wife died in 1931. He lived with Mr. and Mrs. Herman Eisterhold during the last years of his life. Surviving are Joe, Frank, John, Albert, Mrs. John Miller, Mrs. Herman Eisterhold, Roman and Arnold, his children; and 46 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren
