He received his schooling here in Union in the Immaculate Conception School and grew to young manhood here.
He made his home near Union and farmed his entire life. He was a member of the Immaculate conception Church of Union, The Knights of Columbus, Mathausek Council, and the Union Moose Lodge.
Mr Klenke was preceded in death by a brother Gilbert, and also by all five of his brothers-in-law.
Those who survive are his brother, Richard Klenke and wife Celeste of Union; and five sisters, Helen Webb of St Louis, Wilma Huvendick of Union, Leona Schackmann of St louis county, Anita Straatmann of Labadie and Marcells Bolzenius of Beaufort.
Funeral services were held on Aug 9 from the Oltmann Funeral Homes in Union with funeral Mass from the Immaculate Conception Church by Rev Ted Burghoff. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
