William Youngblood was the second son and third child of Jeremiah and Susannah Birgit Youngblood. The names of his parents are found in, "Wayne County, Tennessee Families - Vol. II."

William married Lydia Lucinda "Ada" Reed, on 18 Dec 1817, in Rutherford Co., Tennessee. Their children included:

- 1830 for Wayne Co., Tn, with his spouse, as part of 5 free white persons

"William Youngblood served in the War of 1812 as a Private in the 7th Regiment of Infantry of the U.S. Army from November 15,1814 to early March, 1817. His discharge reads: "To All Whom it May Concern: Know ye that William Youngblood, a private of Captain David E. Twiggs Company, Seventh Regiment Infantry, who was enlisted this fifteenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and fourteen to serve for the period of five years, is hereby honorably discharged from the Army of the United States, having procured Frederick McIntosh, a substitute. Said William Youngblod was born in the State of South Carolina, is twenty years of age; five foot seven and a half inches high; fair complexion; gray eyes, light hair and by occupation, when enlisted, a farmer. Given at Fort Montgomery in the Mississippi Territory this 5th day of March, 1817 by D. Riarley, L. Col., 7 Infantry, Co. G."

The source, "Wayne County, Tennessee Vol.II," states, "William enlisted in the West Tennessee Militia and was discharged on March 5, 1817, at Fort Montgomery, Mississippi Territory (Alabama)."

The book, The Pariss Sims family and Related Families 1765-1965," by Almon J. Sims is another source of information about this family. It states, "William was an early settler in Rutherford Co; died in 1844. His wife died in 1875."

Information from Daniel Harnden states, "He died in January, 1840 at his farm on Indian Creek, Wayne Co., Tennessee."
