Information from Daniel Harnden states,
"William's father, Jeremiah Youngblood, was a soldier in the War of 1812. He participated in the Battle of Horseshoe
Bend under General Andrew Jackson against the Creeks on 27 March 18l4.
Later he fell ill from a camp disease and was paroled to go home, but died on the way to Madison County, Alabama, on 6 December 1814."
