EARLY RESIDENT TAKEN BY DEATH
CASHMERE, Wash., July 16 - Mrs. Effie May Newlove, 82, pioneer of eastern Washington, died Thursday at the Deaconess hospital at Wenatchee. She suffered a stroke about two weeks ago.
She was born at Whidby, Ontario, Canada, and came to the United States with her parents when 6 years old.
Mrs. Newlove was a member of the Cashmere Presbyterian church; Cashmere lodge, Royal Neighbors of America, and Cashmere chapter, Woman's Relief corps.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Clarence Maidlow, Mrs. Anna Knott both of Cashmere; Mrs. Edward Greisinger, Yakima; Mrs. Frank Joule and Mrs. Victor Haskins, both of Bellingham; three sons, Melvin, Harold, both of Los Angeles, 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister, all living in Michigan.
Funeral services will he held at 11 a. m. Monday, at the Cashmere Presbyterian church, with the Rev. George Pratt, of Wenatchee officiating. Burial will be in the Cashmere cemetery, with Kuelbs & Braun in charge.
