Services Held for Mrs. Hannah Gould Monday
Died at Age of 91 Saturday Afternoon at Son's Home on Pioneer Avenue
Funeral services were held from the Kuelbs Funeral Home Monday afternoon for Mrs. Hanna Gould, 91, who died Saturday afternoon at her home of her son Ellis Gould of Pioneer avenue. Rev. Harry Gardner pastor of the local Methodist church officiated. Mrs. Hannah Gould whose maiden name was Hannah Barber was born in Akron, Ohio, July 8, 1843 and died at Cashmere Oct. 7, 1933. At the age of 12 she moved with her parents to Michigan. At 20 years she married Joseph Gould of Battle Creek, Michigan. To this union was born one son, Ellis Gould of Cashmere, with whom she spent several years of her life including the last four years and where she died. In 1900 they moved to Spencer, Iowa and later to Louisiana. Mr. Gould died in 1915 at Hammond, Louisiana. Early in life Mrs. Gould professed a saving faith and united with the Methodist Episcopal church. Surviving are the son, two grandchildren, Mrs. Gordon Murdock and Mrs. Finos Barnes, the one great-granddaughter, Miss Evelyn Murdock who is attending the University of Washington. Interment was made in the Cashmere cemetery.
