1st married Nov. 25, 1855 in LaSalle County, Illinois to Josiah W. Smith. According to Millie Alexander, Minerva divorced Josiah.
2nd married January 25, 1881, Thomas D. Swan in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
She would often change back to her maiden name, according to Millie Alexander.

Millie Alexander of Glendale, CA said that the picture of Minerva was taken in 1903.

On his membership page, he indicated that he's concerned about descendants of Owen Taylor (1870) and Alice Minerva Kellogg Taylor (1877-1960) possibly being at risk for Acute Myeloid Leukemia with MLL rearrangement. It's a genetically transmitted disease.
