Lloyd Merkley Funeral Held At Moses Lake.

Funeral services for Lloyd J. Merkley, 52, long time Jensen resident (Utah) were held April 17 at 1 p.m. in the LDS chapel in Moses Lake, Washington.

Mr. Merkley who moved to Moses Lake 10 years ago from Jensen, died April 13, unexpectedly at his home. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

Prayer at the family home was offered by Rex Rodeba. Services were conducted by Bishop Leon Child and organist was Miss Clair Baker. Invocation was by Clark C. Larson and a quartet consisting of DeMarr Duvall, Sheldon Law, Dorse Oman and Marvin Vernon sang "Sometime We'll Understand."

The obituary was given by Albert Goodrich and speaker was Claude Wakefield. Cal Martinsen sang a solo, "Lay My Head Beneath A Rose" and benediction was offered by James Duvall.

Interment was in the Pioneer Memorial Gardens with dedication of the grave by Gene Merkley. Pallbearers were Howard A. Caldwell, O. D. Goodrich, Robert Hardin, Verne Heimbigner, Ordin Heslop and Harold Merkley.

Those attending the services from Vernal were Ross Rooks and daughter, Marline Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Merkley, Mrs. Erma Chew, Lynn McConkie and also Mrs. Mary Robinson of Paragonah, Utah.

Mr. Merkley was born November 20, 1908 in Vernal, (Utah) a son of Henry and Susan Hullinger Merkley. He married Eva Mae McConkie April 11, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Mary Helen Heimbigner, Moses Lake; Miss Ardis Merkley, a student at Central Washington College of Education at Ellensburg; Harold Lloyd Merkley, Moses Lake and Ray Leo Merkley, a missionary serving in the Brazilian Mission Field.

Also two brothers and two sisters, Henry H. Merkley, Vernal; Lawrence Roland Merkley, Grand Juction; Mrs. Erma Chew, Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Venice Rooks, Vernal and five grandchildren
