Born on August 27th, 1935 in Utah, Harold lived a life filled with adventure and purpose. His work as a bridge engineer took him across the western United States and even to distant countries, including Portugal and Venezuela. Harold's dedication to his profession not only allowed him to leave his mark on the world but also provided his family with the opportunity to explore different corners of the globe.

He and his wife, Kay Merkley, were married for 65 years and together they built a home with many memories. As a father to his daughters, Tracy and Susan, and a grandfather to his granddaughters, Roxy, Shelly, and Casey, Harold's love knew no bounds. He was their unwavering supporter, their source of wisdom, and their greatest fan.
