McCune Rite Conducted
Funeral services were held at 11 am Wednesday in the Braun Funeral chapel for Chauncey McCune. 94 who died Saturday at his home in Cashmere.
Rev. Mr. Laurence Arksey officiated and E. E. Tollefson played hymns on the organ during the service. Burial followed at the Cashmere cemetery, with Mr. McCune's grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers. They were Don Carter, Allen Dunn, Bill McCunn, Dan Purcell, John Stokes and Allen McCune.
MR. MCCUNE was born September 3, 1876, in Malvern, Ill. He married Cordelia Rhode at Liberty, Mo., August 10, 1915.
Mr. McCune lived in Kansas, Missouri and Idaho before moving to Cashmere in 1944.
Mrs. McCune died in 1951. Surviving are his son Leo of Cashmere; two daughters, Mrs. John Stokes, Cashmere, and Mrs. Arthur James, Morrison, Ill., stepson, Edward McCune in Illinois; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
