services for Josie Margaret Phillips, 94, of Baxter will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday,
April 22, in the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Odd Fellow Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, April 21, from 58
p.m., and on Friday, from 7
a.m. until time of services.
Mrs. Phillips died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at NHC Healthcare.
She was born July 29, 1910, in Putnam County to the late George Henry and Verda Pedigo Maddux.
Mrs. Phillips was a retired sales clerk at McAdoos Clothing Store and a member of Baxter Church of
Christ.
Her family includes a sister, Reba Bain of Baxter; two grandchildren, Marcia and spouse, Dennis Lowe and
Mark Massa; and two greatgrandchildren,
Cheryl and Catherine Lowe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Alexander Phillips; a daughter
and soninlaw,
Evelyn and Kenneth Massa; and a brother, Silas Maddux.
Bro. Glenn Ramsey will officiate at the services.
