services for Evelyn Massa, 69, of Baxter, were held at 11 a.m. today, Mon., May 1,
at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Baxter.
Mrs. Massa died on Sat., April 29, 2000, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
She was born on June 2, 1930, in Putnam County to Josie Margaret Phillips of Baxter and the late Alton
Phillips. Mrs. Massa was a retired teacher's aide with the Putnam County Board of Education. She was a
member of Baxter Church of Christ.
In addition to her mother, her family includes her husband, Kenneth Massa of Baxter; a daughter and son-in-law,
Marcia and Dennis Lowe of Baxter; a son and daughter-in-law,
Mark and Rhonda Massa of
Cookeville; and three granddaughters, Cheryl and Catherine Lowe, both of Baxter, and Claire Rich of
Cookeville.
