She died of bronchial pneumonia. Her death certificate lists her place of burial as Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

On 30 Jan 2007, I went to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hamilton (Trenton), NJ, to search for Stella. The cemetery records are kept by St. Mary's Cemetery (since Oct 2006), which is located at 1200 Cedar Lane. I went to the office and inquired about Stella's gravesite. There is no Stella Alfano listed in their records. I did find a Girolamo & Jennie Alfano. I had them look under Buttice and found an Agostino and Concettina Buttice. I was told that records were kept according to the name of the person who purchased the plot, not who was buried there. I went back to Holy Sepulchre and found the headstones for the above Alfanos and Buttices. There was no Stella close by. I spoke with the superintendent of the grounds, and he told me where there was a section for infants/babies. I looked at each headstone, but did not find Stella. There were some headstones with no markings and others that were either broken or had sunk into the ground. I was NOT successful in locating her gravesite.
