Mrs. Vincenzina Alfano, Operated Meat Market
Mrs. Vincenzina Jean Alfano, 84, of 112 Tyler Street died Saturday at Helene Fuld Hospital after a week's illness.
Born in Italy, she was a resident of Trenton for the past 63 years [She lived in Trenton for about 54 years]. She at one time operated the Alfano's Meat Market on 461 South Clinton Avenue, and was a member of the Third Order St. Francis of St. Joachims Church and the San Cologero Society of St. James Church.
Wife of the late Joseph Alfano, she is survived by one son, Joseph Alfano of Fontana, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Frances Salzman of Clearwater, Fla., Mrs. Rose Schleicher of Easton, Pa., and Mrs. Mary Giglio with whom she resided, and Mrs. Jean Marchesano of Lansdowne, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Rallo of Detroit, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be from the Brenna Funeral Home, 340 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday at 8 a.m. A requiem high mass will be celebrated at St. Joachim's Church at 9 a.m.
Interment will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday evening from 5 to 9 p.m.
