Bettie L. Arndt, 83 of Valparaiso passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009.
She was born January 12, 1926 in Mangum, OK the daughter of Loya Martin and Claraicy Verdenia (Daniels) Gibson, who preceded her in death. Bettie was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling, gardening, crossword puzzles and crocheting.
On November 29, 1944 in Norman, OK she married LeRoy "Roy" Arndt who survives in Valparaiso. Also surviving is a son Robert A. (Janice) Arndt of Valparaiso, a daughter Tena (David) Grisham of Florida, 3 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a sister Elsie Norris of Florida. A brother Elmer Gibson and 3 sisters Giola Blankenship, Flora Rollf and Eslie Gibson preceded her in death. Visitation will be held Friday, June 12, 2009 9-11 AM at Bartholomew Funeral Home. Graveside Services to follow at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the VNA
