In September 1944, he took over a company in the 82nd Airborne. Wounded in Belgium during the Ardennes fighting. Recipient of two Bronze stars, the "V" for valor, Purple Heart and Combat Infantryman Badge. After recovering from his wounds, he served with the 187th Parachute Infantry Regiment in Japan. His final assignment was on the Fort Sam Houston staff with Mitch Goldenthal as director of Industrial Operations, retiring in March 1973 after 30 years of service. January 1943
Born in Waco, Texas. He died in San Antonio, Texas. Graduate of the United States Military Academy (West Point, New York).
