OBITUARY:
Alsip Funeral Services Sunday
Matt Alsip died at his home at Bacon Creek on Friday, February 25, at the age of 81.
Surviving ar three sons, Lillard of Bark Camp, James L. of South Corbin and John L. of Corbin: four daughters Miss Mattie Alsip and Mrs. Mae Worley of Corbin, Mrs. Paul Tye of Liggett and Mrs. Roberta Henderson of New Berlin, Ind.; one brother, John of Corinth; fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Steele's Chapel Sunday, February 27 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Hobert Eaton and Rev. T.C. Vaughn officiating. Interment will be in the Fuson Cemetery by the Pennington Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers: Coy Worley, Steely Alsip, Charlie Fielden, Madison Alsip, Joe B. Worley, and Joe Alsip.
According to wrong information from the funeral home yesterday the name Matt Wells insead of Matt Alsip was given.
