John Alsip, 69, of the Cumberland Falls Road, died Monday morning at the Hillcrest Nursing Home. He was a member of the Steeles Chapel Christian Church and a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by three sisters, Mattie Alsip, Corbin; Lora Tye, Emlyn; and Roberta Henderson, Beardstown, Illinois; twenty-four nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hart Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Hovert Eaton, and Rev. Darvin Wells officiating.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Burial will be in Alsip Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
