The entire community was saddened by the sudden death by heart attack of Henry S. George, 41, Sunday afternoon at his home at 315 Oregon Street, Hiawatha. The loss of "Hiney" as he was affectionately known to thousands in northeast Kansas, will be keenly felt not only by his family by everyone.

"Hiney" was a well-known figure in Brown County. One of his finest traits was to lend a helping hand to those who were down on their luck. Whenever anyone of this community had suffered misfortune, Henry was usually at the head of a delegation to give help. Regardless of the weather, "Hiney" drove any distance to see home teams play. He was always active in civic affairs. Anything that was a boost for Hiawatha found "Hiney" supporting it.
