TERRETON -- Paul Beare, 71, of Terreton died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 24, 1937, in Shirley, Ark., the son of Roscoe Charles and Isma Edan Treadaway Beare. He spent his earlier years in northern Idaho, where he attended school. After attending school, Paul worked in the logging and mining industries. He moved to Mud Lake in 1958, here he worked as a farm mechanic until his retirement. He married Rae Haight in May 27, 1961, in Dubois. He was a member of the Mud Lake Community Baptist Church and enjoyed attending the Spring Mountain Youth Bible Camp. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, spending time with his family, grandchildren, friends, his dogs, and working in his yard. He especially enjoyed wood working, and even helped his son build his home. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Rae Beare of Terreton; two sons, Charles (Andera) Beare of Challis, and Robert Beare of Salt Lake City; a daughter, Isma (Dwaine) Beare of Heber Springs, Ark.; a sister and brother, Sharon Beare and Stan (Nadine) Beare both of Damascus, Ark.; an uncle, Ben (Agnes) Beare of Cataldo, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Sam, Kenny and Robbie; and a grandson, Wyatt Beare.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2009, at the Mud Lake Community Baptist Church, 1116 E. 1500 North, with Pastor Brian Gomaz officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, June 7, 2009, at Buck Miller Hann Funeral Home, 825 East 17th St. in Idaho Falls. The family suggest donations be made to the Primary Children's Medical Center, 100 N. Mario Capecchi Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84113-1100, or Old Faithful Christian Ranch, 2364 W. 81st South, Idaho Falls, ID 8340
