"Scofield Designer Dies
Funeral services for Mrs. Priscilla Beall Scofield, 80, will be conducted Wednesday in Pinehurst Village Episcopal Church in Southern Pines. Mrs. Scofield's body will be sent to North Carolina by the Claybar Funeral home of Orange. She died early Saturday afternoon in Orange Memorial Hospital. She had made her home in Orange since 1965 with her son and daughter-in law, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Scofield, of 24 Knotty Pine, Orange.
She was a designer for apartments and homes in New York, Newport R I, and Pinehurst. and studied art in Italy. She was a prominent lecturer and an authority on the arts being an estimator for art work. She also designed executive mansions and executive planes for Eastern airlines. She was married in the National Cathedral in Washington D C to Mr. Edwin L. Scofield, Jr."
