Jack L. Potter, 63, of Lower Burrell, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, in Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Harrison Township. Born Nov. 13, 1944, in Kittanning, he was a graduate of Kittanning High School, and attended Edinboro University. He was employed by Solideal Tire Co., in West Tarentum, until he became disabled. Prior to that, he worked for various cable companies throughout the area, and was a driver for W.W. Sell Trucking Co., Sarver. His greatest joy was spending time with his daughter. Other interests included Lernerville Racing, NASCAR, riding motorcycles, and watching studio wrestling. Survivors include his mother, Martha Jean "M.J." Lasher Potter; children, Danielle Potter, of Lower Burrell, and significant other, "B.J.," and Benjamin Potter, of Richmond, Va., and fiancee, Gina; and his beloved cat, Smokey. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Potter. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Lower Burrell Baptist Church, 2935 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, with the Rev. Bill Samuels officiating. Food and fellowship will follow service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD.. 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, 724-335-1234.
