Obituary from the Falls City Journal, July 1, 1946:

Mrs. Steinhauer, 76, Rulo, Expires Here.

Mrs. Margaret Frances Steinhauer, 76, Rulo, died at 11:30 o clock Sunday evening at the G. B. Sailors nursing home. She was brought to the Sailors home a week ago Saturday.
Mrs. Steinhauer was born Apr. 25, 1870, in Kentucky. Her family went to Missouri in a covered wagon when she was nine years old. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. John Waggoner and they settled near Fortescue.
Jan 18, 1889, she was married in Missouri to Fred Steinhauer. The couple in 1893 went to Rulo where Mrs. Steinhauer has since lived. Mr. Steinhauer died Aug. 13, 1933.
Mrs. Steinhauer is survived by a son, Earl Steinhauer, Rulo; four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Morehouse, Mrs. Russell Adams and Mrs. N. J. Coonce, all of Rulo, and Mrs. Archie Kelley, Omaha; three sisters, Mrs. L. L.(Kate) Lease, Mound City, Mo., Mrs. Wm.(Pearl) Butrick, Ft. Dodge, Ia., and Mrs. Wm. Hudson, Lake City, Ia.; 34 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The body is at Chaney's funeral home and Tuesday afternoon will be taken to the family home in Rulo. A prayer service will be held there at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and at 3 at the Methodist church. Rev. R. E. Carlyon will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in the Rulo cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and granddaughters as flowers bearers.
