Mrs. Ora Belle Hayes, 67, died last evening at her home in Rulo following a stroke. She had been a resident of Rulo for 35 years.
Mrs. Hayes was born September 19, 1871, in Holt county, Mo., and was married to Thomas Hayes on March 5, 1890, at Oregon, Mo. Mr. Hayes died in 1934.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. John Montgomery, Rulo; four grandchildren: four sisters, Mrs. Fannie Stenhauer, Rulo, Mrs. William Butrick, Fort Dodge, Ia., Mrs. W. H. Hudson, Lake City, Ia., and Mrs. Kate Lease, Fortescue, Mo.: and two brothers, James Waggoner, Edgar, Neb., and W. W. Waggoner, Fortescue.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church at Rulo. Burial will be in the Rulo Cemetery. The body was taken this afternoon from the Simpson-Dorr & Philpot funeral home to the Hayes home in Rulo.
