Lieutenant Jeffreys
TOWN CREEK -- Lieutenant C. Jeffreys, 70, 3151 Highway 20, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 1990, at Humana Hospital, Muscle Shoals, after an extended Illness.
He was a native of Lawrence County, was retired from TVA and was a member of First Baptist Church, Town Creek.
THe funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Morrison Funeral Home chapel, Tuscumbia, with the Rev. Ed Marston officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Starkey Jeffreys, Town Creek; son, Jimmy Jeffreys, Decatur, brother, Granville Jeffreys, Sheffield; sisters, Methel Jeffreys, Muscle Shoals, Catherine Truska, Warner Robins, Ga.; three grandchildren.
Bearers will be Sunday school class members of First Baptist Church, Town Creek. Honorary bearers will be deacons of the church.
