. Former Markle resident Ruth C. Runyon, 92, died at 7:05 p.m. Saturday at Swiss Village, where she had resided since 1974.
. Mrs. Runyon was a homemaker and a member of the Old Salem United Methodist Church and of the Bluffton Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
. She was born in Huntington County on Jan. 26, 1907 to Frank and Mamie Gamble Caley. Her marriage at Huntington on April 20, 1929 was to Lloyd Runyon, who died in August 1989.
. Surviving are a daughter, Caren Widmann of Berne; a brother, Bruce Caley of Fort Wayne; two grandchildren, Julie Dull and Joe D. Lahr, both of Berne; and four great-grandchildren. A son, Don, is deceased.
. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne, where calling hours will be Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time for services.
. Rev. Gary Hall will officiate and burial will be in Markle Cemetery.
