1 Sept 1950: William H. Andrews, 79, of 323 Chestnut Street, died suddenly at his home at about 8:30 last evening of the effects of a heart attack. He was a native of Bernville, Berks County, a son of the late Charles B. and Emma J. (Harner) Andrews. He was a member of the First Evangelical and Reformed Church here. He came to Lebanon in his youth and learned the upholstery trade as an employee of the Daniel A. Frantz furniture firm. Later he entered the employ of the Bethlehem Steel Company, where he held the position of warehouse clerk, retiring seven years ago. His wife, Mrs. Catherine Andrews, passed away in 1941. He made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Russell Kleinfelter, 323 Chestnut Street. Surviving are five daughters and two sons, Mrs. Kleinfelter; Mrs. Emma J. Jacobs, Lebanon; Mrs. Sarah Fritz, Lebanon; Mrs. Eleanor Hannum, Westwood, Pa.; Miss Catherine Andrews, Lebanon; and George S. Andrews, Lebanon; and Charles R. Andrews, Myerstown. Sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive, as does a cousin, Miss Jennie Sando, Lebanon. He was the last of his immediate family. [Lebanon Daily News]
