Surviving are two sons, Rick Ryan of Bedford, IN, and Ronnie Ryan of Avoca, IN; one daughter, Sherry Turner of Bedford, IN; three sisters, Dorothy Elder of Indianapolis, Betty Stancombe and Erma Haws, both of Bedford, IN; three grandchildren, Rick Ryan, John Cummings, and Amy Hopkins; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, Dewey Dale Chenault.
She retired as a cook and custodian at Shawswick School and attended Dive Christian Church.
Services for Melvina Ryan will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 18th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Leatherwood Cemetery.
