Clyde is second of 14 children of Thomas Benton Limbocker and Caroline Cordelia Sigafoos Limbocker. He was probably born in or near Lincoln Township (the family had moved to Neosho KS by the 1870 census). He was a member of the Methodist Church. He was active with the Sons of Veterans (of the Civil War). He left his studies at Baker University in Kansas about a year before his death, due to failing health. He died at age 21 from consumption (tuberculosis).
