Thomas was born to Uriah Limbocker and Jeannette Watson Kirk Limbocker. He married Caroline Cordelia Sigafoos, and they had 14 children. Children not shown in links below (burial location unknown by me) are Fred Ellis (1871 - 1872 probably born in or near Lincoln Township, Neosho County where the family appears in the 1870 census, and reportedly buried Erie KS), and twins Karl & Kirk (1879 - 1880; Karl reportedly documented as died in Erie). Thomas' siblings as listed in his obituary are O.C. Limbocker of Big Creek KS, J.G. Limbocker of Lincoln Township KS, and Mrs. Lou Gregory of Wichita KS. Thomas served with Company G, Iowa 5th Cavalry, during the Civil War. At the time of his death, Thomas was the Tax Assessor for Neosho County. He was gravely injured while trying to stop a runaway horse team & wagon outside his feed lot, and died from his injuries 2 days later.

Possible relatives include sister Louise Gregory, brother Orlando Limbocker, brother JG Limbocker and nephew Kirk Limbocker.

LIMBOCKER DEAD
"T. B. Limbocker, county assessor and a prominent man in this county died in his home in Erie Tuesday night. Mr. Limbocker on Monday evening attempted to stop a runaway team hitched to a heavy wagon. He was jerked down and the wagon passed over his body inflicting injuries from which he died as stated. Mr. Limbocker was an old soldier and one of the old settlers of this county. He leaves a widow and 10 children. All the family are grown and doing for themselves except 2 boys. Mr. Limbocker was past 65. The remains were buried in Erie cemetery Friday afternoon. Mr. Limbocker was an active, aggressive man always willing to do his part or a little more. Tom Limbocker will be missed in this county. He has figured prominently in its political affairs for 35 years and has filled many important and responsible positions."
