Easley - Elbert Wyatt McGaha. 71 of 12 Fourth St., Arial Mill Community, died at home at 4:40 a.m. Saturday.
He was a native of Easley, a son of the late Fred and Emma Dalton McGaha, Before retiring in 1966, he worked in the weave room at Arial Mill for 41 years. He was a member of Arial Wesleyan Methodist Church and Woodmen of the World.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Essie Reece McGaha; a son, Elbert Wyatt McGaha Jr., U.S. Air Force, Charleston; four daughters, Mrs. Martha Tipper of Bradenton, Fla., Mrs. Ethel Hale of Greenville, Mrs. Marie Morgan of Kokomo, Ind., and Mrs. Mary K. Hardin of Easley; two adopted sons, Buddy McGaha of Greenville And Roger McGaha. U.S. Navy, Imperial Beach, Calf,; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Ellenburg of Easley and Mrs.Mae Britton of Greenville; 15 grandchildren and four great-children.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 4 p.m. at the Arial Wesleyan Methodist Church by Rev. J.B. Hilson, the Rev. Wallace Looper and Rev. P.C. Lusk. Burial will be in West View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joe Wilson, Arnold Roper, Frank Collins, Wilson Thompson, Claude Kinsey and James Cassell.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home and will be placed in the church Monday at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday
