SARAH J. (PASSMORE) CAMPBELL (22 SEP 1849 - 21 SEP 1923)

Mrs. Sarah Campbell died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clara McGilvery, in Arthur township, Clare county, Sept. 21, 1923, after an illness of two months, aged 74 years.
Sarah Passmore was born near Woodstock, Ont., Sept. 22, 1849.
She was married May 23, 1871, to Louis P. Campbell in Ontario, who passed to his reward about nine years ago.
They resided in Ontario until March 1875, when they moved to Gladwin County, Michigan.
To this union were born nine children.
She was converted in early life and was a faithful follower of Christ to the last. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at West Grout and rendered valuable service to the church has always been an active worker.
She leaves to mourn their loss nine children, three sisters, five brothers, several grandchildren, and many friends. Services were held at the West Grout M. E. church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 conducted by Rev. E. T. Smith followed by interment in Highland cemetery at Gladwin.
