On May 9, 1916 he was united in marriage to Clara Schmidt at Millerville. After their marriage they farmed in Douglas county until their retirement when they moved to Alexandria. Mr. Lambertz was an active member of the Seven Dolors church and St. Mary's church.
He passed away Aug. 13, 1969 at the Douglas County hospital North at the age of 78 years. He is survived by his wife, eight daughters and one son: Grace (Mrs. Alois Korkowski) of Millerville; Mary (Mrs. David Revering) of Minneapolis; Mrs. Elmira Byrnes of Sauk Centre; Roman Lambertz of Minneapolis; Flavia (Mrs. Gordon Jones) of Alexandria; Veronica (Mrs. Jim Floding) of Alexandria; Theresa (Mrs. Clarence Lehn) of Brandon; Corrine (Mrs. Mike Povich) of Hibbing; Shirley Lambertz of St. Paul; also surviving are 42 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and six sisters.
Funeral services were held Aug. 16, 1969 at St. Mary's church in Alexandria. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Theo. J. Wrobel officiated. Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery, Alexandria, Minn. Pallbearers were: Norbert Korkowski, Gregory Revering, Thomas Byrne, Peter Lambert, Thomas Lehn, Daniel Jones.
