Mrs. Dollie King, 33 years old, wife of Walter R. King, died from a complication of diseases at 10 o'clock Friday night at her home in the Red Star suburb. She had been ill since Saturday.
Mrs. King was born March 24, 1895, at Whitewater, and had lived here for 20 years. She was an active member of the Pentecostal church. When she first came to Cape Girardeau Mrs. King was employed at the International Shoe Co. factory.
Surviving besides her husband are three sons and two daughters. The sons are Roy and Ralph, and the daughters are Opal, Elaine and Violet. Her father, Monroe Jones, and stepmother, of this city, also survive, as do two sisters, Mrs. Dora Eakins and Mrs. H. A. James, and two brothers, Raymond and Sam Jones, who live here.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the family residence, and later at Hobbs Chapel north of Cape Girardeau. Rev. Berringer, of Duquoin, Ill., will conduct the services. Interment will be in Hobbs Chapel cemetery.
