David Lynn was the eldest son of John Travis & Lena Pearle Johnson Owen.
He graduated from Stanton High School and entered the U.S. Army. He served during the Vietnam War as a nurse. Later on, he graduated from the University of South Carolina in Colombia, SC majoring in nursing and attaining his license. He and his wife settled in the Brush Prairie, WA area. They were both active with 4H, even though they had no children of their own. While at the County Fair with his 4-H group, Lynn had a massive heart attack helping the kids get ready for the County Fair.
David Lynn Owen is survived by his wife Louise, his 3 brothers Kenneth, Eugene, and Gary. He was the grandson of Bob & Ima Leigh Johnson, and the great grandson of Jasper Newton and Clara Mansel Jennings. His paternal grandparents were Lizzie Viola Gary Owen and George Wade Owen.
