ALMIRA MITTS - At the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Wilder Roper near Foster on Saturday, March 28, 1891, passed away.
The deceased was 70 years 3 months of age and has been a widow for 21 years past after toiling long and faithfully for her family and quietly passed away from the residence of her daughter Mrs. Sarah Roper where she was spending the evening of her life.
The funeral was held on Tuesday, the 31st and conducted by Rev. Paske of Pierce and the remains were interned in Tawney Cemetery. The deceased was born in Fulton County, Illinois to parents Zenas and Susannah (Ball) Harrington on December 29, 1820, but lived most of her life in Wisconsin. For the past four years she has been a resident of Pierce County. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church for 18 years and had 10 children, 5 of whom were mourners at her burial, also a host of friends.
