From the Sycamore True Republican: "Seldom are we called on to record a more painful circumstance than that by which, on Monday last, Robert Brown a most estimable young man, residing in South Grove in this county, and son of John S. Brown, Esq., came to an untimely end. Robert was engaged in running a threshing machine, and had climbed up to the top of the thresher to adjust it in some manner, and, when through, jumped from thence to the ground and struck upon a pitchfork."
