Moved after the Civil War to Grand Traverse Co., MI where he homesteaded just west of Kingsley, living in that vicinity until his death. He married 27 Dec 1859 to Eliza C. Deyoe (q.v.) in Dekalb and they were the parents of 4 children (listed below) who grew to maturity.
