After marriage to Carrie Day, 21 July 1870, they moved to Springfield, MO., where he resided until his death in the influenza epidemic of 1918. The obit records he was one of the first in Springfield to die of it. Henry & Carrie were the parents of 4 children: Nellie (or Helen), Frank H., Robert D., and Gertrude E.
