Lee Fowler, 71, of S. Spring St., died Sunday at the All American Nursing Home. Born in Hardin, Mr. Fowler was the son of Arthur and Flora Hadley Fowler and had been a resident of Springfield for 30 years. He was a painter by trade. His wife, Mary I. (Bray), preceded him in death May 13, 1961. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. G. C. Rockwood of Springfield and Mrs. Al Uzzell of Alton. Services at the Staab Funeral Home. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery. -State Journal-Register, Springfield, IL, 11-4-1974

Note: according to his wife's obituary, she was buried at St. Martin's Cemetery in Farmersville, IL.
