Esther W. Naber, 87, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at a Havre care center.
Esther was born Dec. 12, 1913, on the family farm on the Milk River to William and Anna Thackeray. She lived in the Havre area all of her life.
Esther attended eight years of school in a rural school, completed four years of high school at Havre High School and earned a teacher's diploma at Northern Montana College in Havre. She taught school in many rural schools throughout her teaching career.
Esther was an avid reader and did beautiful crochet work, knitting and embroidery work that she enjoyed giving to others.
She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and enjoyed the fellowship of other lodge members.
She is survived by her sister, Ines Murch of Glasgow, five nephews and a niece.
