Funeral services for Mrs. Henrietta Carolina Gast, who died at the home of her son, Paul, Thursday afternoon, were held from the home at 1:30 and from St. Peter's Refomed church at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Otto Saewert officiated with burial in the Kiel cemetery.
The deceased was born February 28, 1852 in Theeren, Germany, and was united in marriage to Carl Gast on March 22, 1878, In 1896 the couple came to this country and settled in Kiel. In 1904 they moved onto a farm in the town of Eaton. In the fall of 1919 they moved to this city making their home with their son, Paul. Her husband preceded her in death seven years ago.
She is survived by six children. They are: Mrs. Charles Schroeder and Paul Gast of this city; Otto and Herman of Milwaukee; William Gast of Conrad, Montana; and Mrs. Clemens Anhalt of Meggers. One brother, August Kemps of Berlin, Germany, and sixteen grandchildren also mourn her death.
