FLU CAUSE OF PASSING ON OF HILGARD MAN
William Porter Cantrell, of Hilgard, died Thursday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Hospital where he had been brought a few hours earlier by an ambulance, for treatment for flu and pneumonia. He had been visiting a son at Pondosa.
Funeral services for Mr. Cantrell, who is about 68 years of age, will be held at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Snodgrass and Zimmerman Chapel. Burial will take place at the Hilgard cemetery,
The deceased was born in Texas June 19, 1861 and came to Oregon in 1888. He is survivied by his widow, Mrs. Olive Cantrell; a brother, Amos, of Huntington; three sons; William, Ira and Arthur, and the following daughters; Mrs. E.Y. Campbell and Mrs. A.N. Peer, of Portland, Mrs. Irvin Watson, of Pendleton, and Mrs. A.V. Rogers, of Yakima.
