Billie Sue Owens was born to James H. Gaines and Ola Wells Gaines. Billie Sue had lived in Palestine and was a lifelong member of Crockett Road Church of Christ. She was retired from the United Telephone Company. She enjoyed cooking and loved to sew and make clothes for her family. Billie Sue loved the Lord and her church and she was faithful in taking her family to church every time the doors were open.
Billie Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Bedford; a brother, George Gaines; two sisters, Leona Gaines and Opal Denman; and two great granddaughters, Erika Hope Hankins and Emily Faith Hankins.
She is survived by her three daughters, Karen Hankins and Burrhead of Oklahona, Cathy Young and Don of Palestine and Cindy Hutson and Kenneth Stovall of Montalba; step daughter, Martha Tompkins and Phil; five grandchildren, Jeremiah Owens and Kourtney Hamby, Lacey Perry and Chris Mayhall, Terril Hankins and Jennifer, Jacky Hankins and Tara and Kacie Saunders and Caleb; and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Chapel with Dan Manuel officiating.
Burial will be in Guiceland Cemetery.
