HELEN BLINN WAS DAUGHTER OF WM H HAWKINS AND LYDIA LOUISE CASHMAN. SHE NEVER MARRIED AND LIVED ON PARRISH AVE WITH HER SISTERS EMMA AND MAUD. WAS COUSIN TO LETITIA CHAPIN (MILES).

Miss Helen Hawkins, 1016 Parrish Ave., died at 10:45 a.m. Monday at Rest Haven Nursing Home following an illness of two years. For 35 years Miss Hawkins was a secretary at Mullen and Haynes. A native of Breckinridge County, she had lived in Owensboro for the past 50 years. She was a member of St. John Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school classes for about 50 years, and was a member of the Wesleyan Service Guild. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. T. T. Doriot of Owensboro; two brothers, Roy Hawkins of Evansville and Ralph Hawkins, Owensboro; seven nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the St. John Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Edward Henry, pastor. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randolph Price, Tom Sublett, Tony Rouse, Roscoe Price, Harlan Mitchell and T. L. Duke. The body is at the James H. Davis Funeral Home where friends may call after 11 a.m. today.
