Ethel Hufferd Dies Last Night

Mrs. Ethel M. Hufferd, 68, 320 West First, co-owner of the Rush County Hatchery, died at 10 o'clock last night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Gerald Voiles, 1004 North Morgan.
Death followed a several months' illness. Mrs. Hufferd had been at her daughter's home since January.
The widow of John M. Hufferd, who died in September 1940, she was born April 9, 1889, in Posey Township, a daughter of Job and Amanda Gordon Northam, and was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church here.
Besides the daughter here, a son, Fred M Hufferd of Madera, Calif.; three brothers, Charles and Clarence Northam, both of Arlington, and Chester Northam of Rushville; a sister, Mrs. Everett Hester of near Arlington, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive her.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Revs. Stanley McKee and Herbert Glass at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Moster and Sons Mortuary and burial will be in Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Friends may call anytime at the mortuary.
