ABIGAIL T. TYRRELL
Abigail T. Tyrrell, of 542 Alger St., Grand Rapids, Mich, a former resident of Rome, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1980, in Beacon Light Nursing Home, Marne, Ill.; after a long illness.
A seamstress and dressmaker by trade, Mrs. Tyrrell lived in Rome for 45 years, moving to Grand Rapids in 1973. While in Rome, she was a member of St. Peter's Church and it's Welfare Society.
Born on June 17, 1891, in Irish Ridge, she was a daughter of Michael and Ann Goodman Sullivan. She married Thomas E. Tyrrell in 1914 in St. Mary's Church, Irish Ridge. He died on Aug 4, 1962. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Grand Rapids.
Surviving are a son, Francis T. Tyrrell, with whom she lived in Grand Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Alice) Creedon, Syracuse, and Mrs. Michaels (Elizabeth) Byrne, Durhamville, and four grandchildren. A son, Ralph Tyrrell, died in 1947.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Martin J. Nunn funeral Home and at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Irish Ridge.
