GEORGE E. SULLIVAN
ONEIDA -- George E. Sullivan, 50 of 134 Philip, Oneida, died May 7, 1952 at his home.
He was born Nov, 10, 1901, in Irish Ridge, Town of Verona, a son of Michael and Ann Goodman Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan was an employee of the New York State Department of Highways.
He leaves five sisters, Miss Catherine Sullivan and Mrs. Frank Creedon, both of Oneida; Mrs. Thomas Tyrrell, Rome; Mrs. Elizabeth Byrne of Durhamville and Mrs. James Kelley of Utica; and a brother John L. Sullivan of Durhamville.
The funeral will be from the home of his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Byrne of Durhamville at 9 Saturday and from St. Francis Church at 9:30 where a solemn requiem high Mass will be celebrated, Burial will be in Irish Ridge Cemetery.

NOTE: Utica paper says he was age 50 and born in Nov 1901 while Rome paper says he was 49 and born in Nov 1902. I attempted to verify the data on-line, but pp. 720-779 are missing from the 1901 NYS Birth Index as uploaded by Reclaim the Records. However, he is not on the 1902 NYS Birth Index and the NYS Death Index says he was age 50 when he died in May 1952. Thus birth date will remain as Nov 1901 unless someone else has contrary evidence.
