Ancil Lee Cline, age 58, of Rural Retreat, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 1997 in Smyth County Community Hospital. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Shelton Cline; one daughter, Leigh Cline; his father, Garland A. Cline; three brothers, Donald Robert Cline, James E. Cline and Stephen K. Cline. He is survived by one son & daughter-in-law, Timothy Allen & Tammy Cline, Marion; two grandchildren, Timothy Allen Cline Jr., and Tamonthy Cline; his mother, Nelia Jane Cline, Wytheville; four sisters & brothers-in-law, Virginia & Quentin Sutphin, and Olivia "Libby" Caudle, all of Wytheville; Helen & Elmer Tickle, Max Meadows; and Ethel & Tex Willard, Darlington, SC; six brothers & sisters-in-law, McKinley & Louella Cline, Crockett; Walter & Katherine Cline, and Martin L. & Georgia Cline, all of Wytheville; William P. "Bill" & Linda Cline, Dublin; Randolph H. & Janie Cline, Marion; and Richard H. & Rebecca Cline, Rural Retreat; 24 nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held today, Jan. 25, at 1 p.m. at Barnett's Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Shupe and Pastor Edward Schaack officiating. Interment will follow in the West End Cemetery. Barnett's Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of arrangements.
