Solomon Tribune issue of 17 & 24 August 1906. Please note the conflict between these two issues and her marker for her death date. She died on the 13th. In addition, there is also an error as to where she moved to and died; it should read that she moved to Riverside and died at Riverside, California. She went by her middle name of Emily.

OBITUARY:
Mrs. Emily Blair moved to Solomon from Burlington, Iowa, 1866; her husband Newton Blair died Feb 1883; she has since lived with her children; went to Los Angeles [Riverside], Calif, last fall to stay with daughter, Mrs. A.P. Collins; died Sunday (12 Aug 1906) at Los Angeles [Riverside], Calif age 87 years (per 17 Aug newspaper issue) or Monday (18 [13] Aug 1906) at Riverside, Calif, age 84 years (per 24 Aug newspaper issue); buried Prairie Mound Cemetery; survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Carkhuff of Abilene; Mrs. J.G. Fleming; Mrs. A.P. Collins of Calif; 6 sons, Edward [Edgar], Henry, Charles, Houston, Thomas & Bryson, of whom Edward W. [Edgar W.] lives 2 miles south of Solomon; 39 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a granddaughter is Mrs. C. H. Matson of Topeka.
